Loetz glass is renowned for its iridescent reflective metal oxide effects. Comparable to a thin layer of oil on a puddle of water. This effect also fit perfectly into the zeitgeist of around 1900. There is something mysterious and magical about it. The fact that this glass also required a lot of craftsmanship with manually free-formed models makes them still sought after and breathtaking today. This decor by Loetz is called Neptun.
