This bronze cormorant has a beautiful patina, with its characteristic posture. This bird is a fisherman. with the patience of the best angler he waits for movement beneath the water's surface. Cast by Rocher in Paris. Before the First World War, Alberic Collin worked every day in the Antwerp Zoo for years, together with his colleague and friend Rembrandt Bugatti. He knew the animals inside and out. His work is also heavily influenced by that of Bugatti. Today, Collin is regarded worldwide as the best-known Belgian animalier whose work is popularly collected.
