Wooden box, lined on the inside with fabric and on the outside with hand-driven brass. These types of works of art are often not signed. Alfred Daguet showed these types of Répoussé works at Marcel Bing's stand; L'Art Nouveau at the Paris World Exhibition in 1900. Female artists in particular were encouraged to create this type of work at home. They did not need a large studio and many tools. And they therefore competed less with their male artists who liked to focus on better-paid art. And of course there was no incentive to sign their work.
