Made in the tradition of Viennese bronzes, of which Bergmann is the best known. Cold painted metal alloy on a veined marble base. The base is somewhat damaged. The statue is delicately detailed; we see the devil's scaly skin, his long bony fingers and pointed nails and blissful face. The painting is beautiful with the burning wood fire under the boiler.
