Pierre Perret, Vallauris, AM (Alpes Maritimes). This ceramist had worked at Clement Massier and acquired the necessary knowledge there. This so-called reflets metallique vase is iridescently colored thanks to the reduction-fired metal oxides in the glaze layer. The autumn asters are not naturalistic, but expressively depicted. The artist has applied appropriate relief to the vase. The glaze is partially etched matt.
