Sleek Art Deco stylized ceramic owl. Made around 1935 at Sociéte Generale de Ceramique; SGC in Paris. Signed with; Helbo and SGC 9 Rue d' Edimbourg Paris.
Rare sculpture, probably made as a construction plastic, especially for a building. SGC also made many ceramic tiles. From the artist; designer Helbo is little known. It may be a pseudonym. We do have 2 other sculptures by this artist in our collection.
