Arts & Crafts jewelry box. Close to the English arts & crafts movement from the end of the 19th century. But this beautiful chest was most likely made in southern Germany or Austria. The laurel trees stylized in a square point in that direction. The interplay of lines of the openwork sawn and silver-plated figures is also strongly reminiscent of the Wiener Werkstätte. Marked on the bottom with a monogram of an A.
