This is one of the 7 models that Gabriël Argy-Rousseau made in his first production year, 1914. Naturally, his production was small that first year. Not only because there were not that many customers yet, but also because the complicated process of baking a pâte de foute vase still had to be developed. Yet this rare vase already contains everything that is so appreciated about this artist's work. The translucent alabaster-like material, the refined shape and color, and the high artistic level.
