Majestic large bronze lion by one of Belgium's greatest animal sculptors of the twentieth century. It's breathtaking how real this lion seems to move and look out into the world. You can see that Raymond de Meester has spent a lot of time in the Antwerp zoo. He worked there every day between 1925 and 1931! His work is in numerous (royal) collections and museums.
