Black and orange, a strong combination. This vase by Marcel Goupy is exceptional. The glass is transparent, has inclusions of clouds of orange color powders. A pattern of stylized roses and thorns is then etched into the thick glass. This was then washed with black enamel, and the base and edge were provided with black enamel. the signature Goupy, France, is on the bottom of the vase.
