This satyr and nymph are not distracted by the viewer. Their lovemaking is too intense for that, they enjoy each other and their own pleasure. This beautifully patinated bronze statue was commissioned by Guiraud Rivière; A mon ami O.Donoso, and dated 1921. The statue was cast cire perdue by Montagutelli in Paris, who also cast statues for Rodin, and left for Brussels in 1923.
