Gabriël Argy-Rousseau

"Troi trous"

"Troi trous"

Pâte de foute night light by Gabiël Argy Rousseau from 1922. The title "three holes" comes from the openings between the stylized flowers at the top. Since it was a light that stayed on all night, these openings could prevent overheating. When the light is off it appears almost opaque. The strong, almost opaque coloring of the glass lets in just enough light to provide a soft, warm glow at night.
